Tonight with a little free time from home improvement projects I decided to color some images from Bugaboo Digital Images. Instead of using my Spectrum Noir markers I used Prisma Colored Pencils and Mineral Spirits. I forgot how easy this coloring technique was! As always the bugaboo images used are adorable and could be used for many differenet themed cards. It was nice to take a break from holiday images. Thanks for stopping by!

My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge

                                        Pure Innocence Li'l Pumpkin

                                     My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge

Love this little girl! She is so easy to color and apply to any project! My first image of her was a digital image I bought off of Etsy years ago! Sooo glad they were made into stamps! I used Spectrum Noir Markers to color her hair and skin and paper pieced the rest of the image. The paper is from my stash, the twine is from Doodle bug, the Smile washi tape is from KI Memories. The banner was made form MFT's die. Have a great weekend, Thank You for stopping by!

Bugaboo Sketch Challenge

 Gobble, Gobble!

Stella Says SKETCH Challenge 122

This week I decided to bring out the Prisma color pencils and Mineral spirits. It's been a long time since I used this technique and forgot how much I like it! Prisma color pencils are a bit more forgiving than alcohol markers I think. The turkey image is from Bugaboo Digital Images, the patterned paper I used is from my scraps, the the cardstock is Stampin'Up, and the Happy Turkey Day sentiment is from There She Goes Clear Stamps. Enjoy and Thanks for stopping by!

Bugaboo Bingo Challenge...My First Challenge!

   Bugaboo Bingo Challenge

Twine, Black & Orange, Sentiment

http://catchthebugblog.blogspot.ca/search?updated-max=2012-10-21T06:55:00-04:00&max-results=20

I recently decided that I need to do something with all of the crafting supplies I hoard! So, I sat down in my room and said hmmmm...where do I start? So I thought some more! Then I started thinking about my blog and got overwhelmed! :-) When I get in this "where do I start" place I shop! So over to Bugaboo Digi Stamps I went. The image above is a purchase I made! Stella makes me laugh! Then as I was looking around on the site I noticed the challenge blog site and clicked on it...and, well here I am doing my first challenge! This is also going to be a great way to keep my blog active and maybe a little interesting! I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers (love'em). The white layer is stitched around the edges and layered with black cardstock which I covered with punched stars (I like texture...even if you can't see it:-)!) Before I glued the moon and Stella on the card I added an Action Wobble...so no when you move the card Stella moves around like she is flying (I wish you could see it)! Stickles was added here and there too! I was realy happy about how it turned out and it didn't bother me to use the supplies..o.k. so it hurt a little to cut into the twine, but I did it!

Thanks for taking a peek hope Stella gives you a little chuckle!

Heartfelt Creations Cross and Lilly

I love Heartfelt Creations and this set is one of my favorites! The background image is an old Stamabilities stamp called Le London Script. The shaped card was cut with a Lifestyles Die. Both images were colored with my new wonderful Spectrum Noir Markers. I purchased my markers and
the Cross and Lilly die and stamp from Darlene at http://dutchpapercrafts.blogspot.com. She has the best service and prices around! Thanks for stopping by!

Baby Shower Invites

                                Cute Little Onesie Invitations
Just a quick addition to my blog today. I made 40 of these for a baby shower that I co-hosted. I used all Stampin' Up (SU) cardstock, and a brad from my stash. The scallop and star are SU punches, and the argyle embossing folder I used is also from SU. The polk-a-dot embossing folder is from Provo craft. The onsies I cut with my Silhouette. I wish I would have taken a picture of the inside also, but all the details for the shower were typed in Word and printed out. We asked the people to bring a book instead of a card with their message written on the inside of the book...too cute!

LifeStyle Crafts Hidden Treasures Fall Release

My First Dutch Paper Crafts Release

Life Styles Crafts DC0352 Business Card Holder
Life styles Crafts DC0356 Small Nesting Doily

Gift Card Holder
Paper: Cardstock –Paper Studio, Red patterned paper embossed using the Provo Crafts script folderRoses: Sizzix Bigz Die: Flowers 3-D  used to cut old book pages and rolled into flowers, green leaves from Prima, Button brad (from my stash), Butterfly-Martha Stewart punch (3 butterfly punch), I added another small doily to the back along with Velcro.

Life Styles Crafts DC0352 Business Card Holder

Scrapbook
Paper: Paper Studio, DCWV. Leaves: Recollections,Twine: Paper Trey Ink. I cut 3 business cards out with patterned paper and cardstock, anymore and it will be too thick for the holder, and fastened them together with a brad.
This die also has a lot of uses: Love notes, notes for lunch boxes, Christmas tags/gift tags…I thought the small scrapbook would be a good souvenir to give out to guest at Thanksgiving since most of us have digital cameras and can print from a home computer (good projects for kids to complete anyway) I will be making Christmas tags and gift card holders with it this year!

Life Styles Crafts Drawer Box DC0363

Fall Treat Box
Paper: Cardstock-Paper Studio, Patterned paper- DCWV, Pearls: Studio G, Ribbon: Hobby Lobby, Twine: Paper Trey Ink, Stamp Set: Stampin Up- Falling Leaves, Ink also from SU, Leaves: Cut with Silhouette, embossed with a Provo Crafts folder. I cut the all pieces from cardstock and patterned paper, assembled with cardstock and decorated with patterned paper. First drawer: Cut a piece of cardstock 7”x1.5 “score at 1.5” 4xs decorate as desired. Second Drawer: Decorate and add a treat!

These boxes could be used as dinner favors, small thank you gifts, advent calendar if layered, Christmas tree ornaments if you loop the ribbon at the top. A vintage theme for this box would be wonderful. My youngest son put one together and is using it to hide his change…from his sister J…so add a childs trinket holder to that list.

                    Lifestyles Crafts Treat Carrier DC0354

Paper: Cardstock, and patterned paper from Paper Studio, Stamps: Trick or Treaters is My Favorite Things, Scary Treats for you sentiment: Inky Antics, Trick or Treat Sentiment: Studio G, Black pearls: Studio G, Ribbon: Hobby Lobby, Punch: Bat- Martha Stewart, cut each treat carrier die out twice if using a thick double sided patterned paper. Since I used one sided patterned paper I used the die to cut two different pieces of patterned paper and cut another in cardstock. I attached each piece of patterned paper to opposite sides of the cardstock to make the carrier sturdier. Stamped images and colored them with copics. I used the Petite Oval Nestabilities S4140 to cut the image out and layered on a different color using a larger die.The banner die included in this set is framing the stamped image (LOVE IT). I cut half inch strips of orange paper to go around the treat carrier- I lined red line tapearound the carrier and then “ruffled” the paper around the box. Layered the bat punch to give it some movement. The gift card ribbons are also one of the dies that I cut by folding the paper in half and positioning it so the fold would not be cut . And of course lots of ribbon!

This die was great and is so versatile. It could be used for Birthdays…any holiday, small gifts in a jar, a s’mores kit, a small desk organizer if you add small cups to it to add pencils, etc…..the possibilities are endless!
Thanks to Darlene Placito at DUTCH PAPER CRAFTS! Go check her blog out she carries beautiful dies and you really can't beat her prices and customer service! http://dutchpapercrafts.blogspot.com/

Wedding Mini

This is a mini that I made for a friend a year ago, pictures were posted but have since disappeared! I made the book front to back using a pattern I bought from Laura Dennison. Thanks for looking!
